At OMTech, we believe in nurturing creativity and technical skills. That's why we are excited to introduce the OMTech Cup, a scholarship competition designed to recognize and support the next generation of craftsmen and craftswomen. With over a decade of experience as leaders in the laser engraving industry, we are proud to foster growth and innovation in this field.

    First Place: $1,500 Scholarship (1 winner)
    Second Place: $1000 Scholarship (2 winners)
    Third Place: $500 Scholarship (3 winners)

    • Eligibility: Open to students currently enrolled in craft schools across the United States
    • Launch Date: June 3, 2024
    • Submission Deadline: October 14, 2024
    • Award Date: October 28, 2024

  • How to Enter

    Participants are invited to submit their original DIY laser engravings. Each submission should demonstrate creativity, skill, and innovation using laser engraving technologies. Here’s how you can participate:

    1.Create Your Masterpiece: Use a laser engraver to create a unique piece that showcases your skills and creativity.

    2.Write a Description: Provide a brief description of your piece, explaining the inspiration behind it and the techniques used.

    3.Submit your entry through our online submission form as follows. Ensure your entry is submitted by the deadline.

    4.Image Request: Please include high-quality images of your laser engraving project. Ensure the images are clear and well-lit, showcasing the details and craftsmanship of your work. Accepted formats are JPEG and PNG, with a maximum file size of 10MB per image.

    Please name your image submission file as follows:

    LastName_FirstName_ProjectTitle.jpg

    For example, if your name is John Doe and your project title is "Nature Scene," your file name should be Doe_John_NatureScene.jpg.

    5. Award

    Six winners will be chosen:

    • First Place: $1,500 Scholarship. (1 winner)
    • Second Place: $1000 Scholarship. (2 winners)
    • Third Place: $500 Scholarship. (3 winners)
    • Feature on OMTech Website: The winning entries and short introductions with the artists will be featured on our website.
    • Publicity: Winners are encouraged to share their success on school websites and social media, linking back to our site for more information.
    • We will verify proof of enrollment for the winners as part of the award submission process. A check will be sent to the winner's school for the scholarship to be used for educational expenses.
