Open your design software (we're using LightBurn) and import your chosen SVG file.
Resize the ornament to an appropriate size. A good standard size is around 3 inches wide by 4 inches tall, but you can adjust based on your preferences.
Ungroup the elements of your design if necessary, especially if there's pre-existing text you want to change.

Step 2: Add Personalization

Select a font for your personalized text. LightBurn allows you to scroll through your installed fonts easily.
Type the name or message you want to add to your ornament.
Position the text within the ornament design, ensuring it's centered and fits well.
Group the text with the ornament design to keep everything together.

Step 3: Prepare for Laser Cutting

Place your basswood sheet in the laser cutter.
