How do you prevent burns from laser cutting?
still struggling with the my material catching fire, leaving some burn marks. any advice?
I get some burn marks once ina while as well, it's usually because my mirror alignment is a little off. I just follow the mirror alignment instructions in the manual, it can be an annoying process on your first go around, so bring your patience with you. Once you walk through alignment once, it's pretty smooth sailing after that. Before you get into the alignment though, check to make sure your focus spot is on point - small and sharp between .1mm to .3mm for me.
I just found out that there are aftermarket accessories like special laser masking tape that will help prevent after burn marks! its often used with wood or glass materials and prevents afterburn marks or glass chipping.
